Atletico Madrid’s unbeaten record in LaLiga has stopped

By db-admin – Real Madrid managed to stop Atletico Madrid’s unbeaten run in LaLiga. El Real won 2-0 in the Madrid derby.

Real Madrid won 2-0 when they hosted Atletico Madrid in the continued 2020-2021 LaLiga match, at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium, Sunday (13/12) am. Both of Madrid’s goals came from Casemiro (15 ‘) and Jan Oblak own goals (63’).

The hosts doubled the lead to 2-0 in the 63rd minute. Jan Oblak scored an own goal after receiving Dani Carvajal’s long-range shot. The ball that hit the goalpost also hit Jan Oblak before entering the goal.

Opta Jose noted, the result represented Atletico Madrid’s first defeat in LaLiga since February 2020. Thus, Los Rojiblancos’ unbeaten streak has stopped at 26 games. That is the highest amount in the history of the club.

Now, Real Madrid are moving to third place in the standings by collecting 23 points from 12 matches. Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid remain at the top of the standings with 26 points from 11 matches.
