DBasia.news – Lionel Messi’s problem at Barcelona is still a hot topic of conversation in the world of football. Recent reports stataes tht Josep Maria Bartomeu, president of Barca is willing to resign from his position so that Messi could stay, but there is one condition.
Earlier in the week, Messi reportedly submitted a request to release him by Barcelona this summer, even though his contract will only expire next year.
Messi’s contract also has a release clause with a fantastic value of 700 million euros. On the other hand, it is said that there is also a special clause that allows La Pulga to ask himself to be released before his contract expires and without ransom with that exorbitant amount.
This in itself is like the climax of Messi’s complaints throughout the season, which also made him say that Barca is currently ‘weak’ following the defeat over Osasuna which helped ensure Real Madrid to win the LaLiga.
Lionel Messi is predicted to have been dissatisfied with Barca’s performance under the direction of Quique Setien, who coached the Blaugrana at the time. Even when Ronald Koeman arrived, La Pulga was said to have begun to feel that his future was not at the Camp Nou.
In general, according to rumors, the Argentine megastar was less than satisfied with Bartomeu’s policies as president. Some have even stated that the only thing that would make Messi consider staying at Barca is if Bartomeu resigns.
The rumors continued. Now, as said by TV3 as reported by the US, Bartomeu is said to be ready to submit his resignation from his position as Barcelona’s number one, if that can make Messi stay.
However, the report also states that the Barca president has one condition: Messi must say publicly that his main problem at the club is Josep Maria Bartomeu.
If Lionel Messi does that, the report continues, Josep Maria Bartomeu will immediately submit his resignation, even though the current board of directors remains the same. The position of the president will be occupied by an interim figure until next year’s election process.
