Bayern CEO Accused Man City and PSG

By news-admin

DBasia.news – The transfer fee explosion is not a new thing in a modern football era. Every year, the player fee is increasing, especially after Neymar transfer last year to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) worth 222 million euro, a high standard.

Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are two clubs blamed to trigger the transfer fee explosion in the market. Both of the clubs can give an unexpected fee for the desired players. Chelsea also did that in the past.

Their role succeeded in changing the club’s policy in the transfer market. That’s why Bayern Munchen CEO Heinz Rummenigge doesn’t believe with Pep Guardiola statement that he won’t recruit the player with big transfer fee due to the inflation.

“He (Guardiola) said they originally planned to buy a few more players but decided against it because they no longer want to be part of the madness,” Rummenigge said reported by ESPN.

“I was a bit surprised to hear this at first, but then I thought it would indeed be wonderful if this statement were to be true until the English window closes. City, PSG – they’ve always been the global inflaters. Not Real [Madrid], who have spent next to nothing in the past years, which is proof you don’t have to join the madness to win the Champions League,” he said.

So far, Man City just recruited Philippe Sandler from Zwolle and Riyad Mahrez who broke the transfer record worth £60M from Leicester City. While PSG got Gianluigi Buffon from Juventus with free transfer status because his contract with Juventus has ended.

Man City and PSG are considered as the clubs who prioritize instant result instead of the process, can be seen from their maneuvers in the transfer market. But, UEFA gives a limitation to the Europe clubs to not spending too much money on the transfer fee by applying the Financial Fair Play regulation.
