Benjamin Pavard Hoping Lucas Hernandez followed him to Bayern Munich

DBasia.news –  Bayern Munich seemed to prepare a strategy for the transfer market next summer, after this season there was not much shopping for players after losing Sebastian Rudy, Arturo Vidal, and Juan Bernat.

The new player who came right to Bayern was Leon Goretzka who was brought free from Schalke, as did Alphonso Davies who was transferred from Vancouver Whitecaps. Meanwhile, Serge Gnabry and Renato Sanches returned from their loan terms at Hoffenheim and Swansea City.

However, Bayern have already secured the service from the 22-year-old right-back, Benjamin Pavard, after reaching an agreement with Stuttgart and the duration of the five-year contract. Pavard will be a competitive competitor for Joshua Kimmich – Rafinha leaving for another club.

Pavard will be a valuable addition to Bayern and can be a long-term investment for the team because he is still very young. Moreover, Pavard has a great experience of winning the 2018 World Cup with the French national team.

Lille’s academy products are one of the players in the Bayern Munich squad regeneration project. Not just Pavard, even Bayern want to bring him together with his compatriot who plays as left back, Lucas Hernandez.

The 23-year-old player can be placed as a left back and also a central defender. Hernandez has a purchase clause of 80 million euros at Atletico Madrid and Atletico was allegedly unwilling to take it off cheaper than that price.

Pavard hopes Bayern can recruit Hernandez until they can play together in Germany. Moreover, the position of Bayern’s left back does require additional players after the club released Juan Bernat to PSG. There is only David Alaba in that position.

“We are very good friends and I think it would be fantastic if Luke also came to Bayern,” Pavard said to Sport Bild.

“He has proven that he is a great player. First, (we) are together for France, and then for Bayern? That will make me proud, but that is a problem between Bayern and Lucas,” he continued.

Hernandez can leave for Bayern if they meet the official price of Atletico. Moreover, Atletico already have Filipe Luis at the left back position.

Bayern have a good history with French players who have had success there like Franck Ribery, Willy Sagnol, Bixente Lizarazu, Valerien Ismael. Uniquely, Sagnol and Lizarazu are also positioned as full-backs.
