DBasia.news – Manchester City’s 1-2 loss from Newcastle United a few while back was recognized by Man City’s attacking-midfielder, Bernardo Silva. It made the club unsure of preserving their Premier League title. But then Man City succeeded in trimming the distance from Liverpool.
Manchester City has a chance of missing nine points from Liverpool after being conquered by Newcastle. Although The Reds played 1-1 against Leicester City, and was detained by West Ham United in the next match.
Now Manchester City leads the Premier League temporary standings with the same total points as Liverpool of 62. Even f Mohamed Salah and his teammates has done one match less.
“After Newcastle United, it became harder for us. We are very disappointed, more than anyone. The players and staff are all very dispirited because we thought we have lost the chance in achieving the Premier League title on that match,” says Silva as reported from Soccerway.
“Fortunately, Liverpool played a draw against Leicester and gave us a little hope. There’s also a draw between West Ham and that means the competition is still on,” he adds.
“Mentally, it is a huge boost for us. We will attempt to do our job and not relax like what we did while facing Newcastle,” he says.
Manchester City can take advantage in squeezing Liverpool’s points while The Reds face Manchester United. Liverpool is predicted to have difficulty in facing up to The Red Devils who’s performance is going uphill at Old Trafford.
