DBasia.news – Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva assumed his second season would easier than the first one. Silva said he spent more time in the first season for adaptation.
Bernardo Silva starts to gain the trust of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola. Until now, the Portugal national team player played in five matches. Also, he scored one goal for The Citizens.
Silva admits the difficult times in the first season. The 24-year-old player insisted to give all his talents to bring Man City as the champion.
“The second season is always easier than the first one. When you change it’s always more difficult. You have to adapt to the way your team plays, you have to adapt to your team-mates, to the league, to the referees,” Silva said reported by Soccerway.
“Obviously I have more confidence, I feel better with the team and I hope I can do better than last season. I’m happy because I’m helping the team and that I’m feeling well, I just hope that I can continue this way.”
“I can play either in the center or wide, I can do whatever the manager thinks is best for the team. It depends on the games, I feel comfortable both ways,” Silva insisted.
Currently, Manchester City are in the third rank of Premier League temporary standing with 13 points. Vincent Kompany and friends left two points from the first and second rank, Chelsea and Liverpool.
“It’s still the beginning, a lot of games to play, we’ll see what happens but we want to try and win the Premier League,” the player revealed.
Manchester City spent £45M to recruit Silva from AS Monaco. The player agreed to sign the contract until June 2022.
