Brilliant with Wales, Gareth Bale Makes a Record at the Euro 2020

By db-admin

DBasia.news – The Real Madrid winger made two assists which gave Wales their first win at Euro 2020, although he missed a penalty.

Bale set up Aarom Ramsey, who scored the opener late in the first half, and then provided the assist for Connor Roberts, who had an easy finish in the dying seconds.

Wales could have won by a higher score given the threat Bale presented. The 31-year-old star made five real chances during the game in Baku.

With that note, quoted by Opta, Bale became the first player to create so many chances in one game at the European Championships since 1980.

Wales are almost certain to qualify for the next round in this competition after picking up their first win. They now have four points from two games, having drawn 1-1 with Switzerland earlier this week.

Wales are in second place, two pounds adrift of Italy, who have the right to occupy the first position and have already qualified for the last 16 after a 3-0 win over Switzerland on Thursday (17/6) early morning hrs.

In the final match of Group A, Wales will face Italy at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday (20/7).

The group winners will face the team that finished second in Group C, which consists of Austria, the Netherlands, North Macedonia and Ukraine.

The runners-up in Group A will meet the team in second place in Group B, which includes Belgium, Denmark, Finland and Russia.
