Nicolo Barella

DBasia.news –  Nicolo Barella, Cagliari midfielder, reportedly prefers to leave for Inter Milan rather than AS Roma. Both clubs were interested in recruiting Barella.

Inter Milan and Cagliari have discussed Nicolo Barella’s transfer since last month. However, the agreement never reached the final as there was still a distance regarding the bonus value.

The opportunity was used by AS Roma to try to hijack Barella from Inter Milan. Cagliari also claimed to have accepted Rome’s offer.

“With Inter, we had an agreement since June 11, which I think is the most important thing in negotiations. There are only bonuses that need to be discussed,” said Cagliari president, Tommaso Giulini, as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio.

“However, they have disappeared for 20 days. I don’t know if they are actually interested in Barella,” he added.

“Meanwhile, Rome came with a more interesting proposal and we have closed the agreement. Now, I will give Barella a two-day decision,” explained the president.

Not even two days after Giulini’s statement, Fabrizio Romano reported that Barella only wanted to play at Inter Milan. The decision has been taken since a few weeks ago.

Nicolo Barella only wants to defend Inter Milan for several reasons. The three most solid are the player wants to be trained by Antonio Conte, competing in the Champions League and Interista since childhood.

Now, Inter Milan and Cagliari are expected to return to a meeting this week. The Nerazzurri are reported to be returning with an offer of 36 million euros.
