Cengiz Under Impatience to Play Derby della Capitale

DBasia.news –  AS Roma will play week two of Serie A against city rivals, Lazio, in a match titled Derby della Capitale this weekend. Cengiz Under, Roma winger, can’t wait to play it.

The Giallorossi started the season with a 3-3 draw against Genoa last weekend – a match in which Cengiz scored the opening goal – and will make it a starting point when the Giallorossi welcomes their city rival on Sunday.

“The importance of the derby is understood by everyone in Rome, and of course we are the players too,” Cengiz said.  

“We will do our best. We will go to the arena and give everything we have to try to get the desired results.

“Derbies are always crucial, every team involving two clubs from the same city. Something similar happened in Turkey, in Istanbul between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray. Everyone wants to win the derby.” 

How is your view of Paulo Fonseca’s philosophy?

“Fonseca’s tactics are very good. We were a little tighter in the entire field and we played in a more narrow space. That also means the ball comes to me more easily.”

What kind of impact does the new Edin Dzeko contract have?

“I am happy that Dzeko is staying in Rome. We have great ties, both on and off the pitch. I want to score goals and create them and he wants the same thing. You can only be happy knowing that he is still in the squad.”

What is Roma’s target this season?

“The target of this season is the Champions League. We have to go back to the Champions League. I am sure that we will achieve it this season.”
