Chelsea Defender Hopes Liverpool is Awarded with the Premier League Champion title
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Chelsea defender, Antonio Ruediger hopes Premiere League officials will immediately declare Liverpool to win the 2019-20 competition. According to the German player, Jurgen Klopp’s squad will remain champions if the competition is resumed.
Before the Premiere League was suspended, Liverpool did sit at the top of the standings. Juergen Klopp’s men have 82 points from 29 matches. 25 points ahead of Manchester City who sit in runner-up position.
“To be honest, I hope Premiere League officials can immediately declare Liverpool as champions this season. “They really deserve the title,” Antonio Ruediger told ZDF.
“This season, they have been outstanding and I don’t know how much they are superior in the table at the moment. “The title almost certainly belongs to Liverpool,” continued Ruediger.
Furthermore, Ruediger also hopes that the 2019-20 Premier League season will not resume. According to him, now is not the right moment to continue the competition.
“Of course I also want to continue this season’s competition. However, it would be very dangerous if we returned to play in the midst of a crisis situation like this and ignore the many casualties in other parts of the world, “said Ruediger.
At present, the Premiere League has not made a decision whether to continue the competition or stop it. A number of European competitions such as Eradivisie, Ligue 1 and the Belgian League have officially postponed their 2019-20 season competition.
