Chelsea is said to Extend Mason Mount’s Contract

DBasia.news –  Chelsea have just completed the transfer of one player in the transfer market this summer. Chelsea recruited Mateo Kovacic from Real Madrid.

This happened as the Blues were sanctioned by a transfer embargo for two periods after they were proven to have committed a violation related to the transfer restrictions set by FIFA and recruiting players under the age of 18.

Not stopping there, the club also has not determined who will be the successor of Maurizio Sarri, even though the name Frank Lampard is said to coach the team from the 2019/20 season.

The potential of Lampard’s arrival as a manager also made young players who had previously been loaned to other clubs begin to be looked into to enter the main squad, one of the names rumored to be promoted was Mason Mount.

Now according to the Evening Standard report, the London club will not only promote Mount, but also add to the service of the midfielder at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea is also said to be starting negotiations in the near future.

The club also felt it would not be difficult to maintain Mason Mount, as the 20-year-old player had already planned to stay, especially with the potential arrival of Lampard as a new manager.

It was not surprising to see Chelsea so keen to defend Mount, as the Englishman has been successful in appearing consistently in the 2018/19 season, he made 11 goals and four assists from a total of 44 matches while on loan with Derby County.

Adding to the service period of a number of young players seems to be the top priority of the club owned by Roman Abramovich. In addition to Mount, Chelsea is also said to be announcing a new contract for Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
