Claudi Pizzaro returns to AS Roma

DBasia.news –  Stadio Olimpico has a special guest. AS Roma legend Claudio Pizzaro was present at the stadium before the Serie A match against Genoa.

The former Chilean national team player, who recently announced his retirement from professional football, received a warm welcome from Curva Sud, as he took to the field before the opening match of Serie A began. 

“You know how much I care about this club,” Pizarro, who was accompanied by his daughter when he took to the field, told Roma TV.

“(Fans’ reception) is one of the things that you will never forget. I am very happy that my presence is still here.”

Pizarro, who played for the Giallorossi for six years between 2006 and 2012, made more than 200 appearances for the club – the Coppa Italia champion twice and won a Supercoppa trophy in his career.
