DBasia.news – Not long after being appointed as AS Roma coach, Claudio Ranieri immediately expressed the target he wanted to achieve. Ranieri has the ambition to bring Roma to the last four of Serie A and play again in the Champions League next season.
Claudio Ranieri replaced the place left by Eusebio Di Francesco at AS Roma. This is not the first time the coach has trained I Giallorossi.
The Italian coach is sure to bring AS Roma to the Champions League next season. The former Leicester City manager asked Roma supporters to give full support.
“On this long day, I talked to the team, asked them certain questions. This moment is difficult, we play for the future in 12 matches. It’s possible to return to the Champions League,” said Ranieri, Calciomercato reported.
“Children are sensitive, some may not be used to being young, to clubs that are so important. I ask fans to be close to the players and support me especially when it’s difficult,” Ranieri continued.
Claudio Ranieri last coached Fulham since November 2018. However, the coach was fired at the end of February 2019.
This time, AS Roma ranked fifth with 44 points. Nicolo Zaniolo and his friends are three points clear of Inter Milan who are in fourth place or the deadline of the Champions League zone.
“Because, in the end, they suffer the most. The most suffering is the fans,” said Ranieri.
