DBasia.news – The new AC Milan coach, Marco Giampaolo, stated that he was optimistic about the Serie A next season.
The former Sampdoria tactic assesses Serie A will be more competitive next season unlike last season, when Juventus strolled to get the eighth consecutive scudetto.
That is because the Italian clubs are already improving. Juve appointed Maurizio Sarri as a new coach. Then Inter Milan city rivals recruited Antonio Conte who immediately included several star players in the shopping list.
“I think with the return of Sarri and Conte together with many talented Italian coaches, that will make Serie A more competitive than last season,” Giampaolo said.
“There is a change in mentality on many sides. Including small clubs who are now ambitious enough to go to San Siro and play attackingly. So the difference between big and small teams is very thin. I consider this a very challenging league, “he said.
