David Luiz Describes His Reasons to Join Arsenal

Arsenal have indeed been rumored to want to complete the 2019-2020 summer transfer market by bringing in one central defender. Understandably, the defense sector became one of the greatest weaknesses of the Gunners last season.

Arsenal reportedly wanted to hook Daniele Rugani or Dayot Upamecano. However, in reality, it was David Luiz who joined at the end of the transfer market.

David Luiz’s move invited many questions. Moreover, Arsenal are Chelsea’s competitors in the Premier League. The spice of transfer is increasingly interesting considering the two teams do not have a good relationship.

David Luiz said the reason he chose to go to Arsenal was because they had reached the last point at Chelsea. He considered not many players who dare to take decisions like him.

“In life, I always like to do challenges. I am not afraid of anything. I judge not many players who dare to make a move like this. Maybe, they are afraid or something else.”

“I’m just trying to do new things in life. So, the wheel of my life at Chelsea has ended. Right now, I can’t wait to run a new chapter in life,” he said.

“I am happy to be able to play in a club this big. I grew up watching many Arsenal matches, especially the great players of the past. So, I am happy to be able to help do many great things,” Luiz said.

David Luiz’s departure presents problems for Chelsea’s defense. Understandably, the Blues could not find a replacement for Luiz because he was serving a sentence could not register a brand-new player.
