David Luiz Talks About Conte
By news-admin
DBasia.news – The manager shift in Chelsea from Antonio Conte to Maurizio Sarri changed the fate of some players. David Luiz, for example. He stayed at Stamford Bridge for the second time and decided to stay, adapting to Sarri’s football philosophy.
As we know, last season Conte seldom sent Luiz on the pitch and chose Andreas Christensen or Antonio Rudiger in his three defenders strategy. Moreover, the Brasilian 31-year-old defender often got injured. Luiz was rumored to leave this season.
Chelsea, previously coached by Conte, already presented the Premier League title and FA Cup until the end of contract next season. However, Sarri’s arrival issue came true and Luiz who has been playing in Chelsea for two periods stayed at Stamford Bridge.
“If the manager had stayed the same, of course, everybody knows maybe I would have had to move clubs. Now I’m here and so happy,” Luiz told Sky Sports.
“I think every coach comes with new stuff and can improve and help us and of course Sarri has already taught me many things I never saw before. It’s great to understand football – it never stops – since I started playing football I always learn from every coach, it’s great,” Luiz concluded.
