DBasia.news –  David Silva believes a decade or 10 years was enough for him to strengthen the English club, Manchester City. Silva confirmed his departure at the end of the 2019-20 season.

David Silva stepped into Manchester City from Valencia on an exchange in mid-July 2010. At that time, The Citizens poured funds of 28.75 million euros.

David Silva felt his career at Man City had reached the end. He was proud to be part of Manchester City.

“This is the last season. Ten years for me is enough. This is the right time,” Silva said as reported by Soccerway.

“Initially, the club talked about a two-year contract, but I decided to sign a contract for only one year. So, I will leave at exactly 10 years,” said the midfielder.

“It completes the cycle. It is a good round number. I can never see myself playing against Man City with other teams. So, 10 years is enough.”

Manchester City have won all domestic titles. However, in the Champions League, The Citizens lost their touch. Silva claimed to have not been disappointed if he failed to win the Champions League title with Man City.

“We have not been able to win the Champions League title. However, if every year was like last season, I will sign a contract now.”

“When I was little, I didn’t think I could achieve all that was done. So, I was more than happy with what had been achieved in the last 10 years at Man City,” said Silva.

“People showed respect for me. I couldn’t believe they treated me like this. That’s what I like, recognition is given.”

The 33-year-old player revealed that he wanted to end his career at Las Palmas. However, he did not deny that it was difficult to get to Las Palmas if he did not play in LaLiga.

“Not China. I don’t know. My girlfriend will decide,” Silva said.

“I want to finish my career at Las Palmas, but football changes. It depends on the team and players. One cannot come there to play in the second division.”
