DBasia.news –  Davide Zappacosta has officially moved from Chelsea to AS Roma. The Italian defender can not wait to start a new adventure and expressed it in the first press conference session as a Roma player.

Check out everything that was said by the Italian national team player …

What has changed since you left Torino?

“I think I have developed a lot both as a person and in my playing character. I learned a lot from that experience. It’s not easy to play outside Italy and deal with different cultures and languages, in a league far different from Serie A. It was really an experience that helped me a lot. I went through difficult times but I learned many things from it both personally and as a professional footballer.”

Are you ready for Sunday’s match against Genoa?

“I trained with the team for the first time today and I feel good. We practiced at about the same high intensity at Chelsea. I feel in good physical condition. I haven’t played for a long time so I have to get back to the best level, but physically I feel good and believe that with the high-intensity session the coach gave us, I will have no trouble returning to the best condition as soon as possible.”

Why did you decide to come here?

“The main thing is my desire to play again. Roma has always been a great team and a big club: that’s the main reason. I want to achieve great things with Roma. Serie A is a difficult league so we have to go one game at a time, but if we do that we can do well.”

Do you think Serie A still has many differences from the Premier League?

“I think Serie A is starting to equal the Premier League. I think the league is developing a lot – I have followed this league closely for the past two years. There are still differences in speed, but not much from a technical point of view. I believe Serie A will continue to grow.”
