DBasia.news – According to news from the Italian Guardian and transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, AS Roma will soon complete Davide Zappacosta’s transfer from Chelsea.
The 27-year-old full-back will be loaned out to Rome for one season and will soon undergo medical tests this week. Zappacosta’s departure was expected, as he only made four appearances in the Premier League last season under Maurizio Sarri’s care.
While this season Zappacosta has not been played by Frank Lampard, Chelsea’s manager. The club does not object in lending the Italian defender and relying on Cesar Azpilicueta and Reece James for the right back position.
Since joining from Torino in 2017 for 23 million pounds, Zappacosta has never had a regular playing position at Chelsea. Considering that his contract has one season remaining at Chelsea, it is natural for Zappacosta to leave the club like David Luiz and Gary Cahil.
