DBasia.news – Declan Rice finally gave a choice about the national team he was going to defend. Even though he has played the Republic of Ireland national team three times in non-competitive matches, Rice eventually chose England because Gareth Southgate’s persuasion tempted him.
Rice, whose name started sticking out in the 2017/18 season when playing nicely with her club, West Ham United, admitted that her decision to choose the England national team rather than Ireland was the hardest decision she had ever taken in her football career.
“This is the toughest decision I have made in my career,” Rice said quoted from Sky Sports.
“I, who is now 20 years old, never thought I would be in a position like this to decide which country I would defend. However, I was looking forward to looking at the future,” he concluded.
The player who plays as a defensive midfielder is also likely to be able to make his international debut with The Three Lions when entering the international break on March 18-26 2019.
For information only, the cause of players born in England can strengthen Ireland because they have offspring from the grandfather.
