Diogo Dalot Assessed Manchester United Should Play in the Champions League

DBasia.news –  According to Diogo Dalot, the Europa League is not the level of playing Manchester United. According to him, Man United should play in the Champions League and he hopes the club can win the Europa League.

As is known, Man United must be forced to compete in the 2019-2020 European League. This happened after Man United failed to end the English League in 2018-2019 in the top four positions. Yes, Man United last season was only able to be in the sixth position.

Man United itself is believed to be not so high focus to compete in the 2019-2020 European League. Moreover, the European League itself is known as a second class competition, which is not worthy of a club like Man United.

Dalot himself admitted that a club as big as Man United was indeed very unfit to participate in the European League. Dalot believes with the big-name Man United, they should compete for the title in the Champions League every season. Even so, Dalot still has ambitions to bring Man United to finish the 2019-2020 European League by becoming a champion.

“This (European League) is a big competition, but not as big as for this club. The club needs to be in the Champions League every day, every year, win the Champions League and in Portugal, it’s a little different,” Dalot said, as quoted from BBC Sport.

“Of course this is a big competition and if there is a team that wins it will be a great achievement, but for this club when we are in it we only need to win it,” continued the Portuguese player.
