Erikson collapsed, the match between Denmark and Finland is postponed by UEFA

DBasia.news – The first week of the Euro 2020 Group A match took place in Parken between the hosts, Denmark against Finland, Saturday (12/06) night WIB. The match had to be postponed because one of the players needed medical emergency treatment.

On the scoreboard which was still goalless and the match was tight, just before the break the Danish attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen suddenly collapsed and the match was immediately stopped by Anthony Taylor.

Eriksen (29) received immediate emergency treatment on the field of play for approximately 10 minutes. The sight that worried the players, the coaching staff, the fans watching in the stadium or at home, created silence.

Eriksen’s teammates surrounded him, praying and providing privacy for the medical team to do their job. Their faces showed sadness, disbelief, and also tears over what had happened to Eriksen.

Everyone gave their best wishes to Christian Eriksen and the wife of the player who was present on the field. Kasper Schmeichel, Simon Kjaer and other teammates tried to comfort Eriksen’s wife who burst into tears at the sight.

Until this news was revealed there has been no latest news regarding Eriksen’s condition. However, UEFA made a firm statement that Denmark’s match against Finland will be postponed until a later date.

“The Euro 2020 match in Copenhagen has been postponed due to an emergency medical treatment,” UEFA said in a statement.

Prayers immediately came from public figures to netizens to the former Tottenham Hotspur player who is now defending Inter Milan.
