Euro 2020 Group D Results: England and Czech Republic Get Hold

By db-admin

DBasia.news – The England national team still has to be more patient in ensuring themselves to the round of 16 of the 2020 European Cup. This follows the draw they got when they faced Scotland in the Great Britain derby on the second matchday of Group D at Wembley Stadium, London, Saturday (19/6).

The match was fierce. The fast game is shown by the two countries which are classic rivals in Great Britain.

England’s efforts through John Stones, Mason Mount did not produce results. Meanwhile, Scotland’s experiment through Kieran Tierney did not meet the target.

The dominating England national team again attempted to pass Mount at the start of the second half, but to no avail. That’s what Reece James and Luke Shaw did.

The 0-0 score remained unchanged until the game ended, considering that the Czech Republic was also unable to score.

The English national team also had to settle for only getting one point so that it now collects four points. While Scotland has one point.

In another match in Group D, the Czech Republic were held by Croatia 1-1 at Hampden Park, Glasgow. Thus, the Czechs still have to wait until the last match to ensure a ticket to the last 16.

The Czech Republic took the lead in the match through a penalty scored by Patrik Schick in the 37th minute. The referee awarded a penalty after first checking the VAR.

Ivan Perisic scored a goal for Croatia in the 47th minute. The position does not change until the game ends.
