Fired Claudio Ranieri, Fulham Lift Scott Parker As An Interim Manager

DBasia.news – Claudio Ranieri was only able to survive for three months and a half or 106 days as Fulham manager. The 67-year-old Italian manager was sacked after Fulham’s 0-2 defeat from Southampton in week 28 of the Premier League.
The defeat was the seventh defeat of eight Premier League matches. Tony Khan, Deputy President of Fulham, watched the match at St Mary’s Stadium and allegedly gave input to Fulham’s President, Shahid Khan until finally Ranieri was fired.
“Claudio Ranieri agreed with my decision that changes for the good of all. This did not surprise me, real man Claudio is perfect as usual. Please calm down, he is not entirely blamed for our position today,” said the Guardian.
Ranieri did not say much after his dismissal, in addition to expressing disappointment and thanks to Fulham for the opportunity.
“I am disappointed with the latest results and we have not been able to build a good start since my appointment. I want to thank the club, players, and fans for the support they gave me,” said Ranieri.
Instead, the club temporarily appointed Scott Parker as an interim manager. Previously, the former England national midfielder acted as assistant coach Ranieri at Fulham.
“Quick appointment of Scott Parker to help us find stability, develop, and find ourselves as a football club. If Scott can answer that challenge and our players respond on that occasion, maybe the victories will be won in the next few months,” Khan said.
Fulham are currently ranked 19th in the Premier League standings with 17 points, 10 points adrift of Southampton in a relegation safe zone.
