Frank de Boer targets the Netherlands to win Euro 2020

DBasia.news – Coach of the Dutch national team, Frak de Boer, expressed his team’s target for the 2020 European Cup. De Boer wants to bring De Oranje to lift the trophy at the end of the tournament.

Now, in the 16^th round, the Netherlands will challenge the Czech Republic. According to De Boer, the Netherlands can be said to be successful if they not only subverts the Czechs, but advances to the semifinals.

“What will make us successful in this tournament? If we reach the top four, we do well,” Frank de Boer explained at his pre-match press conference as reported by the official Euro 2020 website.

Furthermore, De Boer has ambitions to bring the Netherlands to win the European Cup 2020. That way, there will be a celebration ready to be held in Amsterdam.

“Ultimately, we want to be paraded down the canals in Amsterdam standing on a boat. That’s the end goal. We don’t just want to reach the final, but win it. Then this tournament will be a real success.”

“There are six to seven teams who also think they can become champions. We have the quality to win the tournament. However, for that to happen, everything must go well,” said the former Inter Milan coach.

“One thing that I think is advantageous is the duration of the route to the final. We currently have almost a week to prepare the team for the 16^th round. If we qualify, we have five days for the next match. That’s ideal,” said De Boer.

“We are now only focused on the Czech Republic. We have a lot of work to do to face the Czechs.”
