By db-admin
DBasia.news – Fulham officially returned to the Premiere League after a year of being relegated to the Championship League. Two goals in the extra round from full-back, Joe Bryan gave Fulham a 2-1 win over Brentford in the Championship playoff final at Wembley on Wednesday night.
Bryan defeated Brentford goalkeeper, David Raya, who was dead on his feet in anticipation of the Fulham player’s free kick in the 105th minute.
With Brentford struggling to equalize, Bryan continued to score before the end of the game in the 117th minute and this time with a quiet finish that went past Raya after a one-two maneuver with Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Henrik Dalsgaard scored for Brentford in the 120 + 4 minute. The goal came too late and could no longer improve Brentford’s luck. Fulham went to the Premiere League after being thrown into the second division in the 2018-2019 season.
Fulham followed in Leeds United and West Brom who had already been promoted to the Premiere League because of their status as champions and runners-up of the Championship League, as reported by Reuters and ESPN
