Gareth Bale Chooses to Spend his Contract with Real Madrid

DBasia.news –  Gareth Bale has reportedly determined his future. He prefers to spend his contract at Real Madrid. The Welsh star is rumored to be leaving the Santiago Bernabeu. He even almost joined the club from China, Jiangsu Suning last summer.

Not wanting to just sit on the bench, the 30-year-old player must fight hard in order to get a position in the squad for Zinedine Zidane’s team. The reason is the lack of playing time and the inconsistency of his performance that led to rumors of Bale’s transfer.

Bale made 14 appearances for Real Madrid this season with two goals and two assists. His declining performances and injuries has made him miss the semifinal and final of the Spanish Super Cup.

Not to mention the issue of conflict between Bale and Zidane also considered to be one of the factors Bale did not enter the main squad. Zinedine Zidane was allegedly disappointed with Bale’s declining physical condition.

Nevertheless, Real Madrid still has confidence in Gareth Bale to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu until his contract expires on June 30, 2022. This was confirmed by Jonathan Barnett as Bale’s agent.

“He (Bale) will not go anywhere. It is very unlikely (Bale leaving in the summer of 2020),” Barnett said some time ago, quoted by Goal.
