Gareth Bale Considered More Focused on Golf than Real Madrid, Gareth’s Agent Gives out Response
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Former Real Madrid striker, Pregrag Mijatovic, considers that Gareth Bale prioritizes golf over Real Madrid. Gareth Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, opened up in response to Mijatovic’s accusations.
Mijatovic, the former Real Madrid striker in mid 1996-1999, accused Bale of not fully focusing on showing his best performance with Madrid as he often appeared inconsistently. According to Mijatovic, Madrid became the third priority after Wales and Bale’s other favorite sport: golf.
“I think Bale is a very special man. I don’t know him personally, but from what I read in the comments about him, he seems like a great person, which means he might be a little strange,” explained Mijatovic as quoted from the AS.
“But having someone like him at the club, who (the public) says does not blend in which worries his team mates and clubs, the first thing to think about is Wales, then golf, afterwards, Real Madrid,” he continued.
No doubted that the 30-year-old player was rumored to leave Real Madrid since this summer until the winter transfer window (January 2020). The problem is, Bale does not want to leave, even though the club wants him to leave, and his contract still has three years left.
“Madrid wants to sell him in the summer, but they’re unable to find a solution. A decision must be made, but where do you start? Now you don’t know who to talk to. Moreover, he has three years left in the contract and this makes the situation complicated, “added Mijatovic.
Responding to Mijatovic’s comments, Barnett reiterated that Bale would not go anywhere, including with rumors of his transfer to China.
“Gareth is passionate about playing for Madrid. China? Don’t believe everything you read,” Barnett told Spanish media, Deportes Cuatro.
Despite the controversy over rumors of Bale’s departure from Santiago Bernabeu, his judgment will be seen from the performance or appearance of the player. If he is still inconsistent, Real Madrid has the chance to put him back on the player’s sell list.
