Gareth Bale Story during Quarantine Period in Spain Due to COVID-19
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale shared his experience during his quarantine period in Spain due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Bale revealed that quarantine in Spain is very strict, but for the former Tottenham Hotspur player, he was very well understood with the decision for a common good.
Real Madrid became one of the clubs that were quarantined and undergoing isolation after Real Madrid basketball player tested positive of COVID-19. Bale (30 years old) was also quarantined. Just like other residents, Bale is also allowed to go out just to buy medicine or daily needs at the supermarket.
“This is a very tight lockdown (in Spain), we can’t go out at all, can’t walk or play sports or anything,” Bale told BT Sport.
“It’s very strict, but I think we all have to do it for the greater good,” continued the former Tottenham Hotspur player.
During quarantine and self-isolation Madrid continued to provide training programs to their players. LaLiga was also affected by the corona virus and had to postpone the match on week 27. Barca is currently first in the standings with 58 points, two points away to Madrid in second place.
On another occasion, Bale also talked about his best moment during seven years of playing in Madrid, for example when he won the 2013-14 Champions League.
“If I had to choose my favorite Champions League win with Real Madrid, it had to happen when we won for the 10th time,” Bale added.
“This was the first time I have lifted a trophy and won it in the last few minutes it was very special.”
“Another special day was when we won the Champions League against Juventus in Cardiff, my hometown. Not everyone can say that they have won the Champions League at home. This is also a great memory for me,” concluded Bale.
