DBasia.news – The former Manchester United defender Gary Neville is impressed by the performance of Arsenal midfielder, Lucas Torreira. Gary admits that he has been eyeing Torreira since he joined Uruguay national team in the 2018 World Cup.
He mentioned Torreira as a persistent player. “He’s diminutive, not very big but then he’s tenacious. He gets into the box and he’s scored two goals in the last week. He’s good on the ball, he’s tidy on the ball and takes it and shows courage,” he said.
“He’s a massive upgrade on where they’ve been but most of all the impact he’s having on Arsenal’s mentality is huge.”
The 22-year-old midfielder has played 21 times (1319 minutes) with Arsenal in all competitions and could score two goals and three assists so far. For a defending midfielder, this is a great record in the first period in the Premier League.
