DBasia.news –  Gennaro Gattuso, AC Milan coach, has not given up in trying to bring his team through the Champions League zone in Serie A 2018-19.

AC Milan are currently six points clear of Atalanta, who are fourth or the deadline of the Champions League zone. The situation has made Milan’s chances thinned out.

Now, Gianluigi Donnarumma and his mates need to wipe out the remaining matches with a victory while hoping the club above slips.

However, this step will not be easy. First, Rossoneri will face Bologna who are in the best game after Sinisa Mijhalovic took over the team.

“Bologna are in good condition at the moment and have been impressive since Mihajlovic’s arrival. They are a fast team and has also changed the style of the game,” Gattuso told the AC Milan official website.

“We have to play our own game and give 100 percent performance. We need strong performance to prove we are still alive.”

“Right now I want to qualify for the Champions League. Giving up is not part of me. We have not given up and always have the desire to fight,” said Gattuso.

Gattuso stressed that he was not disturbed by news that he would be fired at the end of the season. The coach claimed to have spoken with the club.

“No one at the club told me I would leave. I only read the news in the newspaper. We only talked about the team at AC Milan’s headquarters,” Gattuso said.

“We have to fight and believe to the end. I thought to do and give everything to return AC Milan to the Champions League.”
