Gennaro Gattuso resigns as AC Milan coach

“Deciding to leave the AC Milan coach seat is not easy. However, this is a decision that I have to make,” Gennaro Gattuso told La Repubblica.

“There is no special time for me to make this decision. This is a conclusion that I must take after 18 months handling this team. AC Milan will not be like the other team.

“There are months when I pass it with high passion, not forgotten. I feel this is a painful decision, but it must be made,” Gennaro Gattuso added.

Gennaro Gattuso has been AC Milan coach since November 2017. At that time, Gattuso replaced the position of Vincenzo Montella who was fired a few moments earlier.

While handling AC Milan,   Gennaro Gattuso lead in 82 matches. Of these, the Rossoneri won 40 wins, 22 draws and 20 defeats.
