Giroud Talks About Courtois and Hazard’s Transfer
By news-admin
DBasia.news – Chelsea are anxious ahead of the summer transfer market deadline. The Blues are facing the probability to be left by the Belgium goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois who absent the training to join Real Madrid. They are worried that Chelsea’s time won’t be enough to find the successor of Courtois at the end of the summer transfer market.
If that happens, Chelsea just have second and third class goalkeepers, Willy Caballero and Robert Green for the 2018/2019 season, or at least until the winter transfer market opens on January. That’s why Chelsea will move fast to activate the buying clause of Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga worth £80M.
Olivier Giroud, Courtois teammate in Chelsea admitted that if he really quits from Chelsea, he and the rest of the players will be sad considering Courtois is one of the greatest goalkeepers in Europe.
“I don’t know about Thibaut. It’s true that we have not seen him at training. If he leaves it’s going to be sad for us because he is a great keeper,” Giroud said reported by Goal.
Courtois compatriot, Eden Hazard was also rumored to join Madrid. But there was no concrete offer from Madrid who aren’t looking for Cristiano Ronaldo successor, made the rumor fade. The coach Maurizio Sarri also included him during the preseason match with captain ban.
“We want to keep him at Chelsea. It’s a great feeling to play with this kind of player. Eden and I texted each other after the World Cup. He congratulated me and N’Golo Kante,” Giroud added.
“I didn’t want to tease him about the semi-final. He had a very good World Cup and obviously he is a very special player,” he continued.
The 27-year-old wing striker performance in the 2018 World Cup was great. Hazard could lead Belgium to finish in the third place of World Cup and defeated Brasil 2-1, where Hazard played excellently to pass Brasilian players. If Chelsea can keep him, big chance they could win the Premier League this season.
