Gnabry Carves Bundesliga’s Unique Record

Serge Gnabry scored a 1-1 equalizer in the 75th minute. The goal was what made the former Arsenal player incised a neat note. It was the 10th goal that he has scored in the Bundesliga this season for Bayern Munich.

This has continued the slick trend since two seasons ago. Since the 2016-17 season, Serge Gnabry has always scored in double-digit numbers. Interestingly, he did it at different clubs. In 2016-17, he scored 11 goals for Werder Bremen. The following season, 10 goals were made for Hoffenheim.

In Bundesliga history, the achievements of the 23-year-old player are fairly rare. There are only two players who have scored at least 10 goals in three consecutive seasons with three different clubs.

The first player was Erwin Kostedde from 1974-75 until 1976-77. He did it with Kickers Offenbach, Hertha Berlin and Borussia Dortmund. A similar achievement was made by Juergen Wegmann from 1985-86 to 1987-88 with Borussia Dortmund, Scahlke, and Bayern Munich.
