DBasia.news – The once-respected national team, Italy, hasn’t shown the competitive performance. The change of coach from Gian Piero Gasperini to Roberto Mancini hasn’t given any maximum effect.
It could be seen by the recent fact that Italy just played draw with a 1-1 score against Poland in the UEFA Nations League. There was one pathetic fact revealed from this match. One Gli Azzurri’s goal from Jorginho from the penalty kick marked the 12th goals of the team by 12 different players.
As a matter of fact, Italy’s problem is on the striker. Started by Eder, Federico Bernardeschi, and Manolo Gabbiadini scored the goal in the qualification round of 2018 World Cup. Next, Ciro Immobile scored in the match against Israel.
Then Giorgio Chiellini during the match against Macedonia, Antonio Candreva against Albania, Insigne in England, Mario Balotelli and Belotti against Saudi Arabia, Leonardo Bonucci in France, Simone Zaza against the Netherlands, and recently Jorginho.
The record signed that Mancini still has a big homework. Italy have the high-quality strikers. In the current squad, Gli Azzurri have the players like Belotti, Immobile, and also Balotelli.
Belotti (Torino) and Immobile (SS Lazio) are the top scorers in the club level. But when they wear the national team jersey, they seem like an ordinary player.
No one doubts about Balotelli’s talent. But this one often stole the highlight due to his controversial act rather than the achievement on the pitch.
