James Maddison Can Improve Liverpool’s Quality

DBasia.news –  Leicester City midfielder, James Maddison, continues to look slick with Leicester. Jamie Carragher, Liverpool legend, suggested his former club to recruit the English player.

Maddison, 22, has continued to show his progress with Leicester since being purchased from Norwich City for £ 20 million last year. Last season, Maddison scored seven goals in a total of 38 matches.

Given that Liverpool only recruited Adrian, Andy Lonergan, Harvey Elliott, and Sepp van den Berg this summer, Maddison, assessed by Carraghe, could restore the club’s creativity to play after losing Philippe Coutinho.

“I think he (Maddison) is one of the players in the top six that Liverpool should be looking for,” Carragher stated as quoted by Mirror.

“People talk about Coutinho’s comeback, but obviously this didn’t happen because he went to Bayern Munchen, but if you are looking for a player in the Premier League, yes, the price is expensive, but he should be what Liverpool is looking for if they want to improve.”

Gary Neville, the English football pandit, also rated Maddison as a fantastic player and will play at Euro 2020 with the England national team.

“He is a great creative player. I think he is very great, I think he will often play for (the national team) England. He will be in the Euro squad (2020). I think he is a fantastic player,” added Neville.
