Joe Hart’s Support to David De Gea

DBasia.news –  The performance of Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has been declining lately. De Gea was showered with criticism and England goalkeeper Joe Hart tried to give him support.

David De Gea was in the spotlight after making a blunder that fruited Manchester City’s second goal. At that time, the goalkeeper failed to secure the shot of Leroy Sane which was not too difficult. Inevitably, a rain of criticism was addressed to the goalkeeper.

That performance complements De Gea’s poor record this season. De Gea has conceded 50 goals in the Premier League.

However, Joe Hart gave a defense for De Gea’s drop in performance. According to Hart, the 28-year-old goalkeeper only misjudged the timing so he failed to secure Sane’s strike.

“De Gea should be able to save on that goal because it is his expertise,” said Joe Hart as reported by Sky Sports.

“De Gea has good quality in such saves. However, the goal happened because he was only wrong in extorting time,” continued the goalkeeper.

De Gea became a scapegoat for some minor results suffered by Manchester United. In fact, the Spanish national team goalkeeper reportedly intends to leave at the end of the season. Moreover, the contract which expires in June 2019 has also not been extended.

“De Gea is a top-notch goalkeeper and I have not seen a goalkeeper like him. I really like watching the action because it is brave and difficult to beat. He can give the ball and then make mistakes that concede. However, he is still the same goalkeeper.”
