DBasia.news – Jose Mourinho, the Portuguese coach, gave his advice to Arsenal’s front line to be sharper and more dangerous.
Arsenal uses a front-line trio in a 4-3-3 formation. The Gunners striker’s trident was filled with Nicolas Pep, Alexandre Lacazette, and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.
There are three midfielders behind the three Arsenal attackers. The midfield is filled with Matteo Guendouzi, Granite Zhaka, and Lucas Torreira.
However, Jose Mourinho thinks the scheme is not perfect. The former Manchester United manager thinks Arsenal needs an attacking midfielder behind the trio of attackers.
Indeed, Arsenal possess these options on the bench. It was proven when they played Dani Ceballos in the second half when dealing with Tottenham.
“In my opinion Arsenal are very good and can play three attackers. It would be better for Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang to play in the center so that he can score a lot of goals,” said Jose Mourinho.
“Like in Liverpool when Roberto Firmino made room for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. Unfortunately Alexandre Lacazette does not have that quality. Arsenal have two options for that.”
“First, play a player with the number 10 to supply the ball to three Arsenal attackers. Another option is to move Nicolas Pepe to the right side so he can jab in,” he added.
Jose Mourinho himself is currently unemployed. Mourinho has not handled the team again since being dismissed by Manchester United in December 2018.
