Jose Mourinho Undo Training the Chinese National Team

DBasia.news –  Since being fired by Manchester United last December, Jose Mourinho has not coached the club, even though he was linked to several clubs and also has the opportunity to train the national team, the Chinese national team.

Throughout his coaching career, Mourinho only coached clubs from Benfica, Uniao de Leiria, Porto, Chelsea (two periods), Inter Milan, Real Madrid, and Manchester United. Mourinho has never coached the national team.

Given his great training experience and also his status as one of Europe’s top coaches, training the national team will also be a new challenge for Mourinho who once won two Champions League titles.

China, which Marcello Lippi left just after the 2019 Asian Cup, became one of the options for Mourinho. But, the CFA, as the China Football Federation, gave a firm statement to refute the rumor.

“The news that the CFA invited a famous coach, Mourinho, to be a coach of the national team is incorrect. For the media and fans, please don’t believe it,” the CFA wrote in an official Twitter account.

Mourinho’s crossing in the list of candidates for the Chinese national team coach brought the issue closer, if the former 2006 World Cup champion and captain of the Italian national team, Fabio Cannavaro, would become coach Wu Lei et al.

Mourinho is also predicted to start training again at the start of the 2019-20 season. In January, Mourinho once said that he was too young to retire.

“I want to train, I am too young (to retire). I am in football for a long time. I will be 56 years old in the next few weeks. Too easy, still too easy,” Mourinho said.

“Where I will stay is where I deserve to be. I deserve to be at the top football level, I deserve to be there and that’s where I will go.”

Reportedly, Mourinho will return to coach Real Madrid to overcome the club crisis this season, which failed to be raised by Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari. According to Ramon Calderon, former President of Madrid, Mourinho became the leading option to be brought back by Florentino Perez, President of Madrid at this time.

“I have no doubt if Mourinho becomes the first option from the president (Perez). He has been called in the past few weeks,” Calderon said.

“At that time when Zinedine Zidane left, Mourinho was with Manchester United and he said, it was not the right moment to return, but now maybe he is free. I think there will be many opportunities he is in the engineering area (Madrid) next season,” he concluded.
