DBasia.news – Luciano Spalletti’s position as Inter Milan coach remains safe. Inter Sporting Director, Piero Ausilio, confirmed Spalletti would stay in the club and won’t be replaced by Jose Mourinho.
Jose Mourinho has no club after sacked by Manchester United. The Red Devils aren’t satisfied with his leadership both inside and outside the pitch.
The situation raised the speculation of Mourinho’s return to Inter Milan. The plan starts after Inter Milan failed to go to the knockout round of 2018-2019 Champions League.
However, Inter Milan won’t sack Spalletti in the near future. However, Nerazzurri had a sweet story with Mourinho back in the past.
“Mourinho? He is not a shadow. It does not surprise me that we talk about him in a time when media and everyone need to say something,” Ausilio said cited by Sky Sport.
Currently, Spalletti is in his second year handling Inter Milan. Under his leadership, Mauro Icardi and friends stay in the third place after Napoli and Juventus in Serie A table.
“We work in a more rational way. Our project has been ongoing for a year-and-a-half with Spalletti and will go on with him for many years,” the Sporting Director said.
“(Club owners) Suning (Holdings Group) is ambitious. They want an Inter that returns to winning ways, not one that is content to be second, third or fourth. What we can say to the fans is that we are working hard to get Inter back to winning ways as soon as possible.”
Jose Mourinho was handling Inter Milan from 2008 until 2010. In that period, the Portuguese manager won the treble winner in his last season before joining Real Madrid.
