Jurgen Klopp Gives the Latest News on Alisson Becker

Unfortunately, the strength of the team was slightly reduced due to injuries suffered by the goalkeeper, Alisson Becker. The Brazilian goalkeeper had to be replaced by Adrian in the 38th minute when he made his inaugural match against Norwich City on August 10.

Initial diagnosis stated that Alisson would be absent for several weeks, but until the third week of the competition, there were no signs of when the former AS Roma goalkeeper would return to play. Even Jurgen Klopp is also unsure when the players will recover and play.

“Alisson Becker will not recover in the near future. There is also no one who had asked me to consider to play him against Arsenal later,” Klopp said as reported by the club’s official website.

“I had lunch with him and he looks much better. But it (recovery of injury) still requires a lot of time. I can not be sure and determine what date Alisson will return. But everything is going well,” added the 52-year-old manager.
