DBasia.news –  The Italian capital city team, Lazio, managed to reach the Coppa Italia 2018-19 title after beating Atalanta 2-0 at Stadio Olimpico, Thursday (5/16) WIB.

Lazio came to the Coppa Italia final 2018-2019 with more seeded status. Apart from having won six trophies before, they played at home, the Stadio Olimpico.

Meanwhile, Atalanta was a surprise team after getting rid of Juventus. This is La Dea’s first Coppa Italia final since the 1996 edition.

This duel is a repeat of the Serie A match 10 days ago. At that time, Atalanta won 3-1 over Lazio after being left behind by Marco Parolo’s goal.

Atalanta took the initiative to attack first. The match was only running for 70 seconds when Papu Gomez jeopardized Lazio’s goal which was escorted by Thomas Strakosha.

The attacking action occurred between Atalanta and Lazio. The duet between Zapata and Papu Gomez mainstay of the visitors’ team were responded to by Biancocelesti with Luis Alberto.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who appeared on the bench, opened Lazio’s lead when the match was left eight minutes. Milinkovic-Savic used Lucas Leiva’s bait ball well.

Lazio ensured their victory during the match. Joaquin Correa kicked the ball smoothly into Atalanta’s goal which was escorted by Pierluigi Gollini.

The 2-0 result lasted until the fight was over. Thus, Lazio has the right to lift the Coppa Italia trophy for the seventh time in history, or first since 2013.
