DBasia.news – Southampton midfielder, Mario Lemina, intends to leave St Mary’s Stadium in the transfer market this summer. This is a code for Manchester United.
Manchester United are reportedly aiming for Lemina to fill the role left by Ander Herrera. He is now in the uniform of Paris Saint-Germain after his contract at Old Trafford came to an end last June.
Manchester United’s opportunity to secure Lemina’s services is wide open after the 25-year-old player revealed he wanted to find a new challenge. He claimed to be frustrated with the injury he had experienced at The Saint in January.
“I physically prepared myself at the training center, with several other players including Charlie Austin and Jordy Clasie. I did not accompany the team in training according to the agreement with coach Ralph Hasenhuttl. He wants to build his group with players who want to stay at the club, so he left me, “Lemina said.
“The best choice for me is to stay in the Premier League, but I don’t the opportunity for any club or country. I aspire to play for the biggest clubs. I have chosen to leave Juventus for Southampton to have more playing time. I have made a good impression in England, “he added.
Last season, Lemina defended Southampton in 23 matches in all competitions with one goal and one assist.
