Barcelona captain, Messi has repeatedly been rumored to be joining Inter. Now the news has reappeared in the media.

Speculation regarding Messi’s move from Barcelona has lately increased. The player nicknamed La Pulga never renewed his contract at Barca.

Marotta finally answered the rumors surrounding the joining of Messi to Giuseppe Meazza. According to him, that will not happen as Messi is not the target of his club in the upcoming transfer market.

“It’s a fantasy of football,” Marotta told Sky Sport Italia.

“He is definitely not one of our goals and I think he is interested in continuing his football career at Barcelona.”

The player who wants to be recruited by Inter is Alexis Sanchez. Inter are currently negotiating with Manchester United to not only extend his loan spell but to make his status permanent.

“This is a strange problem, considering the Europa League can be changed in the absence of certain players,” added Marotta.

“The situation has not been resolved, we are trying to at least hold it for the entire Europa League.”
