DBasia.news –  Lucas Paqueta adapted quickly with AC Milan since moving from Flamengo last January. Thanks to his great performance, Paqueta was called on by the Brazilian national team.

Paqueta, 21 years old, immediately became a mainstay player in Gennaro Gattuso’s squad and gave an instant impact in improving Milan’s performance. At present, Rossoneri are ranked third in Serie A.

Eduardo Uram, Paqueta’s agent, praised Gattuso as the actor behind the rapid adaptation of Paqueta in Milan. The Milan legend gives freedom to play for Paqueta, also develops his survival aspect.

“He (Paqueta) has had a big impact, both for clubs and cities, since he came in December (2018) to get to know the club and look for a home,” Uram said, reported from Football-Italy.

“He is really happy with what he is doing with Rossoneri. I think Gattuso is most responsible for his quick adaptation.”

“He let him (Paqueta) develop tactically in the defensive phase, but at the same time, he was also given a little freedom to advance to attack,” Uram added.

Not only praising Gattuso, Uram also thanked Milan’s board of directors for having great confidence in Paqueta. Special praise was given to Leonardo (Sports Director of Milan) and Paolo Maldini (Director of Milan).

“Leonardo was a great director for his transfer. With his intuition, he has shown that he immediately has confidence in the player,” Uram continued.

“But not only Leo. I have to say Paolo Maldini and also the whole club are convinced to invest in him, so we immediately finalized the agreement after only meeting a few times,” he explained.

The player born in Rio de Janeiro, August 27, 1997 is predicted to be a successor of Milan’s Brazilian legend, Kaka. But according to Uram, Paqueta wants to carve out his own history by making Kaka an example to emulate.

“Kaka is his true inspiration, but he doesn’t want to be Kaka. In fact, he wants to take his own route, even though he clearly will try to follow the example of Ricardo’s footsteps (in success), both professionally and personally,” Uram concluded.
