DBasia.news – The finalist of Champions League last season, Liverpool, will play against Bayern Munchen in the knockout round. The Reds are one of the champion candidates due to the impressive performance so far.
Unlike Liverpool’s consistency in the league, Bayern didn’t have the same situation in their first debut under Niko Kovac. However, Manuel Neuer won’t worry about the chance to beat Liverpool.
Learning from the 2-1 victory between Manchester City against Liverpool in the Premier League recently, also the first failure of Liverpool in the Premier League, Neuer sees Jurgen Klopp squad aren’t a super and unbeaten club.
“I watched Liverpool’s game against City – and you could see that they are not unbeatable,” Neuer said reported by Mirror.
“We have all seen that they are vulnerable — and I really don’t think Liverpool want to play against Bayern. Liverpool are a classy team and have played a great season so far.”
“They haven’t conceded many goals and they are also very good on the counter-attack and strong at home. But I think our chances of winning are 50/50,” the Germany goalkeeper emphasized.
The first leg would be conducted at Anfield on Wednesday (20/2) and the second leg at Allianz Arena on Thursday (14/3).
