Martin Braithwaite can’t wait to Play with Messi

DBasia.news –  New player brought in from Leganes, Martin Braithwaite, said he cant wait to be able to immediately play with Barcelona star, Lionel Messi. According to Braithwaite, the player nicknamed La Pulga is the best player of all time.

“Messi is probably the best player of all time and of course this is an important moment for me to play with him. I can’t wait to play with Messi, “Braithwaite said as quoted on the club’s official page on Friday (2/21).

Braithwaite has immediately set a high target. The former Leganes player said that his goal in coming to the Nou Camp was for Barcelona to win the title.

 “Barcelona is a big club that has a lot of pressure, a lot of hope and I’m here to win a title that allows us to achieve,” said the 28-year-old striker.

Martin Braithwaite landed in Barcelona after being bailed out of Leganes with an official tag of 18 million Euros. The 28-year-old player is also under a four-and-a-half-year contract and has a release clause of 300 million Euros.

Barcelona are able to bring in Braithwaite after receiving permission for an emergency transfer from LaLiga. This permit can be granted to all LaLiga participating teams if there is a key player who is seriously injured.

Together with Leganes, Braithwaite was able to show a good performance. He successfully contributed 13 goals and eight assists from 48 appearances in all competitions.
