By db-admin

DBasia.news –  After the match against Gli Azzurri on the final matchday of the 2020 European Cup Qualification, Tuesday (11/19/2019) early morning Western Indonesian Time, Armenian coach Abraham Khashmanyan offered to resign tomorrow. This attitude is a form of responsibility after losing 9-1 to Italy.

Abraham Khashmanyan has only served in two matches. Previously, the Armenian national team lost 0-1 to Greece. However, he is ready to step down from the coach’s chair if asked to do so by the Armenian Football Association.

“Tonight’s match, unfortunately, does reflect the current image of Armenian football. From the beginning of accepting this assignment, I said this kind of situation would occur. I take full responsibility. This is indeed my fault,” explained Abraham Khashmanyan as quoted by Football Italia.

The 52-year-old coach further said, “If the federation judges this is my fault, I will resign tomorrow. If not, if the federation decides I have to continue my work, of course, I have to change the total team because, in my view, nothing works as it should.”

Regarding the 1-9 defeat of the Armenian national team from the Italian national team, Abraham Khashmanyan rate it can not be separated from the composition of the squad that is not good. According to him, his team is currently losing so many of the best talents. One of them is, of course, Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

“Today, we did nothing,” said the Armenian national team coach who replaced Armen Gyulbudaghyants on November 6. “There’s not much to say after a defeat like this. I can only reveal the truth.”
