DBasia.news –  Renowned Dutch media, De Telegraaf, reported that Matthijs de Ligt’s agent, Mino Raiola, had confirmed his client’s personal agreement with Juventus.

“De Ligt has agreed to the offer submitted by Juventus and now everything depends on Ajax (Amsterdam) with the way they handle this situation,” Raiola told De Telegraaf.

Juventus bid De Ligt for 50 million euros. Reportedly on the same media, Ajax reportedly promised De Ligt a year ago that he could leave for 50 million euros if he could not keep going until 2019.

De Ligt, 19, allegedly agreed to sign a five-year contract with Juventus and received a salary of nine million euros per year plus a bonus. Juventus are also quite free to recruit 17 caps and two goals with the Dutch national team.

The reason is, there are no competing teams that have offered Ajax academy products and De Ligt has decided to join La Vecchia Signora.

Especially after the UEFA Nations League final between the Netherlands and Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo, the Juventus megastar, approached De Ligt and invited him to join Juventus.

Raiola also assured his client that he would not act like Antoine Griezmann at Atletico Madrid, with the issue of going to Barcelona. Griezmann allegedly ‘forced’ to leave when confirming the departure of Atletico.

The club also believes Griezmann has agreed to join Barcelona when the two sides meet in person – without the knowledge of Atletico – in March.

“That is clearly out of question and so is arbitration because this is not his style (De Ligt),” Raiola added. That means, De Ligt will still report training to Ajax while at the club and Juventus discuss to complete the transfer.

De Ligt, if joining Maurizio Sarri’s side, will be the sixth player recruited by Juventus this season after previously bringing in: Aaron Ramsey, Luca Pellegrini, Adrien Rabiot, Gianluigi Buffon and Merih Demiral.
