DBasia.news – Social media is inseparable in this modern era. Manchester City left-back Benjamin Mendy is addicted to social media. Moreover, Pep Guardiola feels tired to warn him over and over.
Benjamin Mendy is one of Manchester City important players. But, he often creates the controversy in his social media.
No wonder, Pep Guardiola once prohibited him from using the social media. Guardiola thinks it would be an obstacle for his career.
“I’m not unhappy about Mendy. I’m not here to change his mind because the way he lives is what it is,” Guardiola said cited by FourFourTwo.
“He’s active on social media and it is what it is. We knew that when we bought him,” the manager continued.
“But the way he trains, the way he is in the locker room, you cannot imagine how much the people love him and like to be with him.”
“We’ve tried to convince him but I’m not his father. The only thing I want is that we can use him more. We focus on the job and what he has to do. He is young and has incredible potential and he can be one of the best left-backs, but it depends on him,” Guardiola explained.
Manchester City spent £57,7M to sign Benjamin Mendy from AS Monaco. The 24-year-old player created five assists in 11 caps this season.
